Christmas at the Americana, in San Diego and at Griffith Park

While Aunt Katie was off school, we went to see the Christmas decorations at the Americana in Glendale. Tom loved the fountain show and the HUGE Christmas tree. He really enjoyed riding the trolley and waving to people.

Since Christmas was on a Wednesday last year, Jake had to work all the days of the week except Christmas Day so the boys and I went down to San Diego a few days early to celebrate with Grandma and Grandpa. We were lucky enough to have Aunt Sarah come down to celebrate Christmas with us too.

Back home in L.A. Gram and Grandpa took us to Griffith Park to ride the train, the ponies and the carousel. Tom was reluctant at first (shocking) but ended up having so much fun.

Pre-Christmas parties with friends

We had a lot of fun pre-Christmas parties last year. Our community group had our annual get-together. We had an ugly sweater party (notice the faces on our sweaters) and White Elephant gift exchange. I also went to Shelley and Kendall's new house for our annual ornament exchange. It was so nice to see all my girls from high school and most of their husbands and kiddos.

Thanksgiving in the Desert

We spent Thanksgiving in Cal City this year. It was C.O.L.D. But we didn't mind since we got to be with family. Tom enjoyed riding motorcycles with Mommy and visiting with his cousins. Damon enjoyed sleeping in the tent trailer.

Halloween 2014

For Halloween, Tom wanted to be a "Pumpkin Head", so this is what we came up with. Here he is with Madi and Tobias. Damon wanted to be a Robertson for Halloween.

June Lake

For Grandpa Chase's birthday, we got to go to June Lake for a few days. Tom's first fishing trip and Damon's first overnight trip away from home. It had snowed the days leading up to our arrival so we had some gorgeous snow to play in. It was absolutely beautiful up there. Tom caught his first fish. He was so excited until he touched it. It was too slimy for his liking.

We had a baby...and other news

Hello, again! It's been around nine months or so since last I updated the blog. So sorry for the delay. Since the last posting, we have had many adventures. We'll just skip from the last post in mid July to when Baby #2 was born. In between was Refugio, Allie and Steve's wedding, "Sam Day" at Sky High Jump, meeting some of the Chase side of the family from Georgia, as well as many other events. Oh, okay, here are some highlights from those adventures.

He's a very mellow baby, poor thing was diagnosed with jaundice two days in. Damon had to live with these blue paddle lights on his around the clock. It lasted about a week.
