Tom has been learning to feed himself with a spoon. He does a great job so far! Such a big boy!

Fabric Paintint

While Bethany was on fall break, Gram and Grandpa came up and we painted fabric! Everyone got a turn and now they're just waiting for Miss Vicki to sew them into treasure bags to take on our walks.

Halloween Crafts

Bethany came to our house during fall break so we did some Halloween crafts with the Wilsons and Andrews families. First we put tape on mason jars, painted them orange, then removed the tape and added tea lights to make them look like jack-o-lanterns.




Then Bethany and I made this Monster Eyeball wreath for the door.

A badly needed haircut

Due to popular demand (Sarah!) we got Tom's hair cut. It was so shaggy, he needed one badly! So here's the new do.

San Diego- Sept. '11

We went down to visit the Chase Grandparents a few weekends ago. We had fun playing with Tom at the park, digging in the sand and going down the slides. Tom loved his new Grandma's-House-Scooter. He also had fun "pointing" to his nose.

Refugio '11

We were so lucky to make it to Refugio this year from Wednesday through Friday. We had so much fun getting to see many of our family and friends and get to spend time going for walks, going to the dog beach, having margaritas and going kayaking with them. Tom did really well camping, he loved the tent! He thought it was a big play house, which made it hard to get him to fall asleep at night. We had so much fun and we can't wait until next year!

After noon on Friday, we had to be out of our campsite but we decided to spend the rest of the day at the beach so we loaded the tent onto the trailer and parked it in day use.

Surfing in Ventura

While everyone headed off to Refugio, Jake and I decided to see how Tom would like the beach and went to Ventura for the day. It was the first time Jake and I had been surfing since right after we bought our house, over 2 1/2 years ago. Tom really liked playing in the sand and putting his hand in the water with one parent while the other was surfing.

Tom's Birthday Party

We had a small BBQ on the 4th of July to celebrate Tom Tom's first birthday. We had burgers, water balloons and make-it-yourself ice cream.
