Father's Day

For Jake's first Father's Day, we went hiking. Tom fell asleep in the backpack carrier.

Lunch with Aunties and Gram

We had lunch at a cafe in Cambria and Tom was having fun with his aunties and Gram

Cambria

For Katie's birthday, we went up to Cambria and stayed in a beach house. Tom was a good little traveler. He and I stopped in Buellton, then San Luis Obispo for lunch, then up to Cambria.

The first thing Tom decided to do was climb up onto the coffee table.

Gram read Tom a story and Tom played footsie with her.

Tom climbed up and down the stairs all weekend.

We spent the day on Main Street, Tom slept through most of it. We hit most of the shops and just walked around. It's a beautiful town.

Everyone in Cambria seems to have a beautiful garden. We saw these gardens as we walked down to walk on the boardwalk next to the beach.

This is the house we stayed in

We spend most of our walk along the boardwalk taking pictures of the gorgeous view.

We also saw a bunch of seals hanging out on the rocks.

Stacking blocks

Tom loves to stack blocks. He's very proud of himself when they stay. His record so far is 5.

Climber

Grandma Chase told us that Daddy learned to climb before he learned how to walk. Tom is following in his footsteps. He'll climb up anything that will stand still.

Mix Tape

Steve, Jake and I went to an 80's musical in San Diego called Mix Tape. If you dress in 80's costumes, you got a free drink so of course we did. What you can't see are my leggings and legwarmers over my heels.

Meeting Great-Granddad

Tom Tom got to meet his Great-Granddad Chase in May. We've been sending him letters and pictures since Tom was born but it was great to finally meet face to face. He came out from Georgia for a visit and came up for my 30th birthday, then we saw him again the weekend after in San Diego.

Vicki's 30th!

Well this year I turned 30 and what better way to celebrate than with a fiesta! Here are some pictures of everyone at the party, the kids running around and graffiti-ing the back wall with chalk, and, of course, the fiesta sombrero. Ole!
