Girls' Trip to Palm Desert

In May, we were offered the Byrnes' condo in Palm Desert for a much needed girls' trip. My first nights away from Tom-Tom. Not all of our girlfriends could make it, but we had a great time anyway! Pam, Shelley, Patti and I started the weekend at the Cabazon outlets. Shawna met us at the condo that night.

Refueling at the Starbucks

As you can see, we were successful at the outlets. Our weekend mantra became
"I'd be stupid not to!!"
"Should I buy this dress? It's only $12! I'd be stupid not to!"
"I'm thinking about buying this skirt. It's only $2! I'd be stupid not to!!"

The 13th hole was our backyard. It was fun to see the golfers roll through.

I was still up at 5:45am automatically so I started the day reading and drinking
coffee on the patio.

We, of course, spent lots of time at the pool. So relaxing, beautiful weather, nice and clear.
Miss Thing on her Blackberry, she's very important, don't you know?

The view at the pool.

May 21st was supposed to be the end of the world, so just like on New Year's Eve, we
decided to jump in the air right at 6pm. Unsurprisingly, that crackpot pastor didn't know
what he was talking about and the world didn't end.

On our way out for the night.

We had a late dinner at Las Casuelas Nuevas.
"Should I get the 27oz margarita? I'd be stupid not to!"
After dinner, we took a cab over to the Marriott. It was a $15 cover charge
to go to the dance club.
Pam: "This is the MARRIOTT!"
We went to their bar/lounge instead, had a few drinks and called one unlucky guy
out on his lies.

This guy was asleep by himself on the couch for an hour before we
decided to take this picture.

We stayed until they closed the lounge, then took a cab back to the condo.
On our last day in Palm Desert, we laid by the pool for a few hours, then tidied up the condo,
got some lunch and headed back to real life.
It was so relaxing and I'm so grateful to Mick and Adele for trusting us with their condo and
to my girls for a super fun weekend!
Should we make this an annual excursion? We'd be stupid not to!
